Religious Freedom in the U.S. - The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops encourages us to celebrate Religious Freedom Week, June 22 -29th and learn more about the challenges this right faces in our nation 

   Religious Freedom Week takes place June 22-29. It begins with the feast day of Sts. Thomas More and John Fisher, includes the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, and ends with the feast of Sts. Peter and Paul.

Gun Control Issue - The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Urges Congress to Act on Gun Control 

   After multiple mass shootings in recent weeks, four leading bishops who chair critical USCCB committees, joined in a letter to Congress expressing their grief over these incomprehensible tragedies. Their letter calls on members of Congress to, “unite in our humanity to stop the massacres of innocent lives.”

The Center for Catholic Education & Formation and the Office for Catholic Social Justice Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford will sponsor a joint conference on Saturday September 17, 2022 at the Omni New Haven at Yale.

   The theme for this year is Life and Dignity for AllThis year, as we approach the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is especially mindful of the debates around our country about abortion. The Catholic Church plays a crucial role in bearing witness to the gospel of life and serving all who will be affected by these discussions and their outcomes. Read More.

Dreaming Together: Forming Disciples for Faith and Justice


The Center for Catholic Education & Formation and the Office for Catholic Social Justice Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford will sponsor a joint conference on Saturday September 17, 2022 at the Omni New Haven at Yale. The theme, Dreaming Together: Forming Disciples for Faith and Justice takes its name from “Let us Dream” by Pope Francis, who encourages us to dream of a better future. The conference will include educational and practical pieces on faith formation topics such as lifelong formation, parent involvement and kerygma, social justice issues, and Catholic social teaching. Attendees will gain skills in integrating social ministry and Catholic social teaching into classroom, parish, and family life.
Early Bird registration begins July 25th. Covid-19 Protocol will be followed as necessary.
